"Do not give the Democrats an inch. They get an inch, they'll take a mile." That was Governor Ron DeSantis with a direct Election Eve message to Florida Republicans: do not leave Tuesday to chance.
In the video above, DeSantis asks every Florida Republican to get out and vote on Tuesday. "We've done so much in the great state of Florida. We've led the nation on so many things," he said. "We've got to keep that momentum going."

His ask was specific: vote for Republicans up and down the ballot, and vote yes on Amendment 3 to lower your property taxes. DeSantis said Democrats won the final day of in-person early voting, even as Republicans hold a statewide lead, and he is not taking a single vote for granted.
Notice how the message is built. DeSantis opens by asking Republicans to go out and vote on Tuesday, and he closes with the very same words: "Please vote Republican on Tuesday." No hedging and no fine print, just the ask, made twice, so nobody who hears this clip can say they missed it.
The warning was just as plain: "We don't want to end up like California. We don't want to end up like Illinois." Florida's momentum, he argued, only continues if Republicans show up in force on Tuesday and finish the job.
